Rhino Ready is an adorable new stamp set from the On-Line Exclusives. You will not find tis stamp set in any catalog. Look at my on-line store for this set and lots of other cute things. As I type this the Rhino Ready dies are on the not orderable list. It does not say they are sold out so my guess is that they will be back soon.
I made this card for my grandson’s birthday. Jake loves orange and is turning 15 next week. It is hard to make a card for a boy that age but this set is perfect – cutesy and boyish. Next is the inside and below that is how I made the card.
The card base is Pumpkin Pie cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. I used the largest die from the Radiating Stitches Dies (also from the On-Line Exclusives) to die cut a piece of Gray Granite. I cut a piece of Basic White slightly smaller than the gray granite piece. I embossed the Basic White piece with the Basic 3D embossing folder (set of three in the OnLine exclusives – they could have better names). The using the blending brushes I colored the top with Balmy Blue and the bottom half with Granny Apple Green. Next I attached both layers to the Pumpkin Pie card front. I die cut the tree and grass with the dies from the Rhino Ready dies using Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Shaded Spruce. I had intended to sponge the edges but forgot until after I had attached them – oh well! I used liquid glue for the tree and attached to the card front. I used dimensionals to attach the grass. I stamped the rhino is Memento Black and also the sentiment both for the front and inside. I colored the rhino using blends- Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight for the bird and Gray Granite and Smokey Slate for the body. I used the color lifter to make his horn lighter. I die the leaves both small and large from the Pear Pizzazz and put one on the front and the other inside. It was a fun card to make so I am hopping he loves it. After I made it I remembered that I should save this set for his brothers 18 birthday this July. His cousins all call his brother Rhino (his name is Ryan)
