Do you have a hard time coming up with an idea for a card? I know that I do! I look at Pinterest and my Stampin’ Up! catalog for ideas and sometimes nothing pops into my head. I have started to look at challenges to spark my creativity. For my card pictured above, I chose to use the colors suggested by CAS Colours & Sketches. It is a current challenge but two of the colors are retired. They said they picked these colors months ago so to please pick another green and pink. I chose Old Olive and Bubble Bath. You can see all the creations for this challenge by clicking here.
Mine is a really easy card to make. The card base is Basic Gray cut 5 /1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at
4 1/4″. The next layer is Basic White cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″. The third layer is Bubble Bath cut to 3 1/2″x 4 3/4″ and embossed with Basic 3D embossing folder from the trio offered in the On line Exclusives. Whew, I thought I had used a retired folder since it is not in the catalog. Glad I found it! Next I stamped the turtle on a piece of Basic White and used the Stitched With Whimsey and the Stylish Shapes dies on it. I backed it with a 3 inch square of Basic Gray and colored it with blends. I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of Basic White and die cut it with the Stitched Shaped dies. I put a small Basic Gray circle that was cut using the Stylish Shapes dies. The sentiment is popped up with dimensionals but everything else is just glued down. Fast, easy cute card! How do you like it? Please leave me a comment on how you feel about the colors. Without the challenge I would not have put these 3 together. If you would like to see another post about the Playing in the Rain stamp set please click here.

What a gorgeous card Diane! That adorable turtle image was perfect for the current challenge colours and I love the way you’ve added the embossed pink cardstock as a back panel to include that third colour. Thank you so much for sharing with us at CC&S 🙂
