I have got something to crow about! My oldest grandson turns 18 next week and we are celebrating his birthday on the 4th. I chose the colors for his card to celebrate the holiday – red, white and blue. He will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall and their mascot is a Gamecock. Yes I know this is not a gamecock but close enough. My husband and I both graduated from this school back when the dinosaurs walked the earth – yes it was a long time ago. This grandson once asked me if we had cars back then.
Now on to the card. The card base is Real Read cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. The Night of Navy layer and the Basic White Piece were both die cut using the Radiating Stitches Dies from the Online Exclusives. The sentiment from Hey Chuck was stamped in Real Red ink. The “Gamecock” and the fence were stamped on Basic White with Black Tuxedo then colored with the Stampin’ Blends. The sun from the Hey Chuck dies was die cut with Daffodil Delight. the sun was glued to the card front and the other two die cuts were popped up with dimensionals. This was a quick and easy card to make.
