Happy first day of spring! So glad that winter is behind us once again! In western NC, we can only hope there is no more snow but it happens. This post was meant to happen yesterday but the computer gods had other thoughts. My emails suddenly stopped working and I could not get my card pics to go from my phone to my computer. I am sure that I use an archaic method to do this but it is one that works except when it doesn’t. I finally got it working but I really do not know how. Well enough about my computer woes.
For my spring card, I used Painted Stripes Flowers of Beauty and Unbounded Love. My inspiration came from an Artisan card by Su Mohr but mine turned out very different from hers. I used her idea to die cut the flowers from DSP. I used the Lovely Garden DSP from the March OnLine Exclusives. I decided to use the Fresh Freesia for my card base and the Painted Stripes since it is the lightest of the matching colors for the DSP.

.
Here are the instructions for my card:
- Fresh Freesia – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Stamped using the Painted Stripes on Basic White 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Then die cut with the largest Textured Notes die (OnLine Exclusive). I love this set – hope it stays around for awhile. attached it to the card front.
- Die cut two of the flowers using the Lovely Garden DSP (Online Exclusive). Tired to place them to get a variety of colors. Used the green Tombo glue and my silicone mat the apply glue to the pieces and attached them to card front.
- Next I stamped “FRIEND” from the Unbounded Love using Blueberry Bushel ink. I die cut it with die from the same bundle and attached it with dimensionals.
- I added a few sequins from the Starburst bling also from the March Online Exclusives.
- For the inside, I added a basic White piece cut 5 1/4″ x 4″. Before attaching, I stamped it with a flower from the Flowers of Beauty stamp set using Fresh Freesia and a strip of the Lovely Garden DSP.
