I created this card with the Driving By Sale-a-bration stamp set for The TGIF Challenge #tgifc354. This was a hard color choice for me as I wanted brighter colors but a challenge makes you think out of your comfort zone. I picked the Pansy Petals DSP because it had these colors in the papers. The two van are paper pieced and colored with blends. I used the Paradise Palms stamp set for the palm trees. After carefully fussy cutting the trees I discovered that I have the dies for the set. Duh! Always the hard way! I used the Messages dies to die cut the sentiment. I am using the dies more and more lately – after I got over trying to use them all at once. They cut out lots of individual sayings.

These little vans remind me of my youth as I was a teen-ager in the sixties. Yes I am older than dirt. I tell my grandchildren that I rode uphill both ways to school on a dinosaur. They asked me recently if there were cars when I was little. Wow, that would be my great-grandparents.
