Why did I post two of the same card? Are they the same? Hum! Look closely, if you were in my February classes you know already. Want to see the answer?

The Balmy Blue panel that is embossed with the raindrops are mounted differently. I read a post that said the raindrops were supposed to be bigger at the bottom like a teardrop. Who knew? Well I looked at the card I had made and wouldn’t you know it. It was upside down! Which do you like better – raindrops heavy at the bottom or the top or maybe it does not matter to you. Please comment on how you think they should be placed.

It turns out that raindrops are not like that at all. Yes I googled it! They start out as a sphere then take the shape of a kidney bean before splitting into 2 more spherical drops. That is way too much science for a stamping blog right!

But be careful if you have a preference because if you put it in the Raindrops embossing folder the way Stampin’ Up! recommends then you will get them heavy at the top.

Look closely at the embossing folder as it is different from their embossed example. So the bottom line either way is ok but if you want it a certain way beware!

On the card below the only stamping is the sentiment. The bunny is die cut from the Rain or Shine Specialty designer series paper.

There are several more on the 12″ x 12″ sheet that you can die cut to make a cute card – turtles, foxes and bunnies.

Have fun with this cute set! There are very nice dies that coordinate with the stamp set. Hopefully I will get to play with them soon.

Stamping Hugs,
