I was on Pinterest looking for ideas for some of new stamp sets that I purchased. Yes it is very time consuming but it sure is fun! Well I came across some cards made by Melinda Hart – they were beautiful. Melinda is an Artisan for Stampin’ Up! so they had to be something special. So I cased her cards, that is copy and share everything, in case you are not familiar with that term. I did change the sentiments on my cards. I cased five of her cards that is one for each In color. I will create five blog posts to show you my cards.
All of them use the Fresh as a Daisy DSP which has all five in-colors featured plus a couple of the new core colors. Such fun mixing and matching them all. Did you know that if you go to my Stampin’ Up! store that you can see a graphic of each piece of the DSP. Maybe this is a new feature and maybe not – it is new to me. I thought I saw on some ones blog a graphic of them all in a slide show. But I cannot find it again so maybe I dreamed it. Who knows! I do not now how to do a slide show on this blog but I will find out if it is even possible. I wanted you to see them all so I copied each page for you to see here. Of course you can also see them here in my store.
Here is the first card that I cased.
The cardbase is thick basic white cut 8 /12″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 /14. The dsp strip is
1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. The small strip is Pebble Path cut to 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. It is butted up to the dsp strip. The blue piece was die cut using the Scalloped Contours dies and attached to the card front. I did not use dimensionals but you could use them. The daisy is die cut out of Basic White with the large solid die and the one next it on the image below. They are the first 2 dies.
Glue these together and put on a Daffodil Delight center cut with the next die in the image. the daisy is attached using dimensionals. Die cut two of the spikey looking piece using Garden Green. Attach them under the daisy. Stamp the sentiment using Pebble Path ink on Basic White and use the label die to cut it out. Attach with dimensionals.
