The Tech4Stampers Blog Hop is today and the theme is red and green. Those colors speak Christmas to me so I created a card using the Merriest Trees stamp set. I cased a card by Mary Deatherage but changed up a few things.

Please check out the other participates taking part in the blog hop. Comment s are always appreciated.

I started out with a Granny Apple Green card base cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Next I added a layer of Real Red cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″.

Then I added a layer of Joy of Christmas designer series paper cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″.

I used the Deckled Rectangles to die cut a piece of Basic White then ran it thru the Stamp, Cut and Emboss machine using the Christmas Tidings embossing folder. I attached it t the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the tree from the Merriest Trees stamp set in Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Lemon Lime Twist. I cut them out with the dies from Merriest Trees. You can use the dies to several sizes of trees. I attached them to the card front.

Using Real Red with Adhesive Sheets on the back, I die cut the red garland. The Adhesive Sheets made them very easy to attach.

I die cut three starts out of Real Red. I cut a total of 6 stars using both the solid star and the open star. I attached them with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and die cut using the Labels Aglow dies. I used dimensionals to attach them.

I added some bling using the Tinsel Gems.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Real Read and die cut using the Merriest Trees dies and attached it to a piece of Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″. The panel was attached to inside of the card.
