My middle daughter turned 50 last week. Wow, where did the years go? I saw a card made by Lisa Curcio and knew I had to create one for my daughter. You can see her instructions here. She did a great job explaining the parts and pieces to this card so please watch her video. I used the Darling Details bundle to create my card. You need a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock to make this card. I thought oh no, I do not have any that size. Her favorite color is red and I found the 12 x 12 in my stash. I...
Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along Birthday
Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. My family has three birthdays in August so that has kept me busy creating cards and of course there was the prep work for stamping classes in August. I went to Columbia last weekend to help my oldest grandson move into his dorm at the University of South Carolina which is where I graduated many years ago. The campus is sooooo much bigger now. He kept saying he was in one of the older dorms (it was not there when I attended lol!). All the ones that I...
Follow Up on Yesterday’s Post
This card was featured on my blog post yesterday which you can see here. I did not have time to tell you any details. My computer did an automatic update and when I restarted it I got the blue screen of death. My fabulous IT person had quite a time getting it to work again. I had some key stored on Microsoft somewhere that kept me from losing all my data. I now have a backup system. My computer was gone for several days and I felt like I had lost a friend. Everything I tried to do - I said oh...

Stampin’ Up! Darling Details Birthday
The dies in the Darling Details bundle are awesome - definitely worth getting this bundle. what do you think? There are dies that cut out the flowers and leaves in this set but take a closer look at the other dies. There are two great frame dies and the border one is designed so you can thread ribbon through it. How cool is that? I needed a birthday card for my daughter who likes green. Actually she loves frogs but I did not find a cute frog set in the catalog. So she gets flowers, maybe next...
Stampin’ Up! Kit Sale during August
Stampin' Up! offers many kits for you to try. These are not in any of the catalogs so you must see them online. Click here to see the current kits that are available. The Paper Pumpkin kits are excluded from this sale. My personal favs are the Light the Candles Birthday kit and the Birthday notebook.
Stampin’ Up! Bonus Days Coupons
For those of you that placed qualifying orders in July, now is the time to redeem them. Don't forget to add them to your orders. Pay special attention to you order if you are trying to reach a certain sales goal as these do not add to your total. For instance you place an order for $153 before shipping and tax and use your coupon. That takes your order to $148 and if you wanted to use the Stampin' Rewards with this order you no longer qualify. So use them wisely!
Stampin’ Up Botanical Layers Inspire Create Challenge #147
This card was created using Botanical Layers for the Inspire, Create, Challenge #147. You may check it out by clicking on the image below. This challenge inspired me to ink up the Botanical Layers stamp set. I used the beautiful Designer Series Paper, Inked Botanicals, as my starting point. This paper has many, many good color combinations. It coordinates with the Inked Botanicals Suite but I decided to use another stamp set. My card base is Lost Lagoon cut 5 1//2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"....
