For ideas, inspiration and tutorialsAlissa Leigh and Simon’s Carousel Horse and Rabbit
In yesterday's post, see it here, I told you that my oldest daughter and her husband Simon carved two life sizes carousel animals. Above is Harvey, the Tennessee Rabbit, proudly standing on the carousel at Coolidge Park in Chattanooga, TN. Below are pictures of my twin granddaughters riding the bunny that their parents carved. And the next one is Charger named after a bouncy horse that my daughter had as a child. This resides in their game room. So this post has nothing to to with stamping but...
Stampin” Up! Carousel Horses for Freshly Made Sketches
Carousel Horses was on my order list as soon as I saw it. My oldest daughter loves and collects carousels. In fact, she and her husband have carved two full size animals, a horse and a rabbit. The horse is in her house and the rabbit, named Harvey, is on the carousel in Coolidge Park in Chattanooga, TN. So you see, I just had to have this stamp set to make some cards for her. If you are ever in Chattanooga, TN check out the carousel - it is just across the walking bridge in downtown. Harvey,...
Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight
I just love these colors that were put together for the Paper Players color challenge for this week. They are Lost Lagoon, Lemon Lolly and any neutral. I was inspired by a card created by Mary Fish. I cased her design but used all my own colors and sentiment. Here is the Paper Players site so you can see all the lovely creations by some very talented folks, just click on the picture. The Lost Lagoon is a returning color from the past and Lemon Lolly is a bright new color. I chose the Dainty...

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies for Global Design Project.
I created the above card for the Global Design Project #GDP397. I like to use challenges to spark my creative juices. If you click on the image below you will see all the beautiful creations for this challenge. Mu card base is Blueberry Bushel cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". The next layer is Azure...
Stampin’ Up! Floating Strip Technique with Cheerful Daises
For this card, I started with a piece of vellum cut to 5 1/2' x 4 1/4" (the same size as cardfront). I die cut two different pieces of the Countryside Inn DSP using the Patchwork Pieces die. The Patchwork Pieces dies are a stand alone die which means that do not pair up with any stamp set. Alternating the two patterns of DSP, I glued them to the vellum with a slight space between each one. When they were all glued down, I trimmed around the outer edges with my paper snips. I put lots and lots...
